The CNC plasma table range, in four standard cutting areas
Every KUTAVAR CNC plasma table is built on the same heavy duty frame and the same cutting bed, with permissible payloads up to 5,000kg. If you are pricing a plasma cutter table against a particular sheet size, these are the four we hold as standard. Need a cutting area outside them? Speak to us, we can often build to your dimensions.
Why no price list? Very few machines leave Hereford identically specified. The cutting area, power source, extraction and motors all move the number. We show you exactly what moves it below, then you configure and get a real quote.
Built for accuracy that holds
Quality and repeatability sit at the heart of every KUTAVAR plasma cutting table. Working to the thermal cutting industry standard, ISO 9013:2017, alignment, stability and accuracy are what decide whether you get a consistent clean-cut surface at the end of a long shift, not just on the first part.
Configurable with NEMA 34 high torque stepper motors, or NEMA 34 servo motors with encoder, both paired with high precision planetary gearboxes at a 10:1 ratio. Steppers give smooth stable torque at lower speeds for less money. Servos give higher traverse speeds and closed-loop positional accuracy.
How thick do you need to cut?
KUTAVAR plasma cutters are powered by Hypertherm, the leading global brand in plasma cutting. From an air plasma setup through to a high-definition plasma cutter, there is a power source to suit the work. Maximum pierce capacity is 50mm on mild steel, and 38mm on aluminium and stainless steel. Specify it as an industrial plasma cutter running all shift, or as a lighter machine for intermittent work, and the frame underneath stays the same.
| Power source | Pierce (mild steel) | Output current | Gas supply | Input voltage |

Every KUTAVAR plasma cutter ships with a genuine Hypertherm power source, not a generic torch.
Waterbed or zoned extraction
KUTAVAR CNC plasma machines come in two variants. Both are highly configurable, and while either will technically run air or high-definition plasma, in practice high-definition is specified on zoned extraction. Which one suits you comes down to your workshop and how you want to handle fume.
Waterbed
Machine slats sit within a tank filled with a mixture of water and Biologicut fluid. The water traps the metal particles coming off the material during cutting, and steam vapour is emitted to atmosphere from the heat generated. Biologicut is a chemical additive with anti-rust properties that stops bacteria growing in the water.
Zoned extraction
The table is built from bins, trays and slats. The sleigh opens the zoned baffles as it travels, giving powerful localised suction exactly where the plasma is operating, and pulling smoke and fume out through a central extraction and filtration system. Operators work in a smoke and dust-free environment.

Add oxy-fuel and cut plate up to 100mm
KUTAVAR machines are unique in that nearly every zoned extraction table can be fitted with an oxy-fuel gas cutting torch alongside the plasma head. A simple manual changeover swaps the operator from the plasma torch to the gas torch, and takes mild steel plate cutting up to 100mm thick. That is made possible by the heavy duty build, with permissible payloads up to 5,000kg.
- Cuts mild steel plate up to 100mm on a single phase supply, with no three phase needed for the gas torch
- Doubles as an oxy-fuel cutting machine, plasma and gas heads on the same gantry
- Mild steel, aluminium and stainless
Oxy-fuel is available on zoned extraction machines only, and not in combination with high-definition plasma.
CAD, CAM and CUT in one piece of software
Every machine ships with the KUTAVAR software, a fully integrated CAD, CAM and CUT solution. If you have little or no CAD experience, it is built to get you cutting anyway.
Draw or import
Create your own shape in the 2D CAD suite, import DXF or DWG files, silhouette an image, or pull from the library of pre-drawn shapes.
Nest and cut
True shape nesting duplicates and places parts automatically to minimise sheet wastage. Bridge entities, weld shapes and create bolt-ready holes without leaving the software.
Cut charts built in
Integrated plasma and oxy-fuel charts for Hypertherm, Kjellberg and other brands take the guesswork out of feedrate, kerf, cut height and voltage.
There is also a cost calculation feature. Enter your material price per kilo and the nesting tool prices each part for you, which makes quoting your own customers considerably faster.
You are buying from the people who build it
KUTAVAR is a manufacturer, not a reseller. Every heavy duty plasma cutter we sell in the UK is designed, built and tested here. The engineer who specs your machine, the factory that builds it and the team who install and service it all work for the same company in Hereford. When something needs sorting, there is no supplier in the middle.
- Every machine runs a complete 48 hour test process before it leaves the factory
- Minimum 2 days of installation and training on your site, anywhere in the UK
- Certified engineers, plus remote support by TeamViewer and on-site visits
- Annual service plan continues your 5 year warranty
- 20% discount on parts under the service agreement

What does a CNC plasma cutter cost?
If you have been searching for a CNC plasma cutter price, or for a plasma table for sale with a number next to it, you will have found mostly "request a quote". Here is the honest reason. There is no single price, because very few machines leave Hereford identically specified. What moves the number is straightforward, and it is worth knowing before you start comparing quotes:
- Cutting area. A 1250 x 1250mm bed and a 4000 x 2000mm bed are different machines, not different options
- Power source. A Powermax45 and an XPR300 sit at opposite ends of the range
- Extraction. Waterbed or zoned, and whether you need a central filtration unit
- Motors. Stepper motors cost less than servo motors, and suit different work
- Extras. Compressor, engraving head, extraction system, oxy-fuel head, HVAC slats, raised gantry
Configure your machine and an engineer reviews the specification and comes back with a quotation. No obligation, and finance options are available.

Part-exchange the machine you have now
Upgrading rather than buying your first machine? Part-exchange your old CNC plasma cutter against a new KUTAVAR. We inspect it, either online or face to face, discuss what your new machine needs to do, and make you an offer on the old one. We then arrange collection, delivery and installation.
- Hassle-free changeover
- No hidden fees
- 5 year manufacturer's warranty on the new machine
Before you spec a machine
How thick can a KUTAVAR plasma cutter actually cut?
Pierce capacity depends on the Hypertherm power source you choose, and runs from 12mm on a Powermax45 SYNC up to 50mm on an XPR300, all in mild steel. Aluminium and stainless top out at 38mm. If you need to go beyond that, a zoned extraction machine can be fitted with an oxy-fuel gas torch, which takes mild steel plate cutting up to 100mm.
What power supply do I need in the workshop?
The Powermax45 SYNC will run on either 230V single phase or 415V three phase. Everything from the Powermax65 SYNC upwards needs 415V three phase. Worth checking what you have before you settle on a power source, and our engineers will go through it with you.
What is included in the 5 year warranty?
Parts, labour and callout fees, with exclusions set out in the terms and conditions. To keep it running for the full five years you agree to the annual service agreement, a rolling 12-month arrangement, follow the preventative maintenance guide, and have the machine serviced yearly by an approved KUTAVAR engineer. Without the service agreement you are still covered on parts, labour and callouts for the first 12 months after installation, and you can join later.
Do you install it and show us how to use it?
Yes. Depending on the package, you get a minimum of two days of installation and training on your own site, anywhere in the UK. On-site installation is minimal because every machine goes through a complete 48 hour test process before it leaves the factory. After that there is an internal service team on remote support through TeamViewer, and engineers available for site visits.
Waterbed or zoned extraction, which should I choose?
Waterbed traps particles in a tank of water and Biologicut fluid, and is the simpler arrangement. Zoned extraction pulls fume away at the point of cutting through baffles that open as the sleigh travels, so operators work in a smoke and dust-free environment, and it is the only variant that can take an oxy-fuel torch. If you are cutting all day in an enclosed workshop, zoned is usually the answer.
Can I have a cutting area that is not on the standard list?
Often, yes. The four standard CNC plasma table sizes cover most work, but if you need to specify a machine outside them, talk to us. We may be able to offer a bespoke solution.
What is the difference between a plasma cutter and a CNC plasma table?
In practice people use the two words interchangeably, though they are not always searching for the same thing. The plasma cutter is the Hypertherm power source that makes the arc. The CNC plasma table is the machine it sits on: the frame, the cutting bed, the gantry, the motors and the software that drives the torch along a path. A handheld plasma cutter and a CNC plasma bed are very different purchases. What we build is the whole machine, with the power source specified to the thickness you need.
Can I see one cutting before I commit?
Yes. Book a demo and see the machine cut, either online or at the factory in Hereford.
